Owltown Creek mountain bike trail

The Owltown Creek Trail is the point of entry for the Owltown Mountain Trail. Just 4 miles long it has something for riders at every skill level: a few creek crossings; some steep declines and inclines, a few tight rocky narrow paths along with some wide grassy paths.

Ellijay's Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association along with Cartecay River Bike Shop, teach beginner and intermediate bike clinics on Owltown Creek Trail. Beginners should start the ride at the lower end of the trail at Owltown Creek bridge crossing, so as to not get in an area too difficult.

Directions:

Take Highway 52 east for 3 miles out of Ellijay toward Amicalola Falls. The trail head is at the Cartecay River Bike Shop
