Minnehaha Falls is one of those falls you want to put a star by on your list. Fairly easy access for the average able body. The hike to Minihaha falss is an easy, yet inclining, half mile hike that will reward you with a natural beauty of these north Georgia mountains. This cascading fall spans at least 30 feet wide at its widest point and displays many 3-5 foot drops as it meanders down the rock face into a shallow flat pool perfect for crawfish exploration and a rock bench set in the perfect location for a family photo opt.
From the parking area you will easily spot the wooden hand rail leading to the falls. As you head up the trail you follow the creek on your right. About half way up the trail you see a small 10 foot cascade that you can get closer to on a side path. Once you reach Minnehaha Falls you'll find yourself in a steep-sided cove packed with rhododendron and mountain laruel.there is a rock sitting bench on the far end of a peninsula jutting out into the creek bed.
