1.5 miles East of Ellijay on Hwy 52E, turn left on Turniptown Rd. You will go 6.1 miles two and half of those miles will be paved then you'll go the other 3.7 miles on gravel before reaching the first of two fords. You'lll reach the roads end and a gate 4 miles after passing the Walnut Mountain subdivision. Park your car on the right.
In the Rich Mountain Wilderness Area in Gilmer County, this 50 ft. high waterfall is close to the headwaters of Turniptown Creek When you pass through the gate and cross the creek, you'll have a 2 mile uphill hike ahead of you up a logging road. The first part of the trail is on private land before you get to the Rich Mountain Wilderness Area you should not continue without permission from the property owner. Stay on the left side of the creek till crossing Aaron Creek abot 6/10th of a mile then get back on the logging road Continue up the mountain and cross the ridge. You will see the falls will to your right.
